The southern pavilion has an open planned living area which is offset to allow a readable entry deck and to permit valuable northern light to penetrate the kitchen. The fore faces west and the long slim house has all Living spaces and maximum bedrooms with northern solar access. It is clad with lightweight composite cladding which is low maintenance and cost effective. It is wheelchair accessible and constructed of low maintenance materials. This residence is located on an lofty slope with the rear facing west over the garden and pool. The roof proportions were carefully considered so as not to dominate the existing roof line. This residence is located lofty on the cliff facing north overlooking the bay. A rigorous attempt was made to retain as much of the existing fabric as conceivable except the replacement of the dilapidated veranda with a fresh grand piano shaped balcony. This residence is facing east overlooking the bay. The existing customary stumps and subtle arches are reflected in the fresh work. It is painted cheerful colors to reflect its seaside location.
